About the distributor --------------------------------------------------------------- 1. What is a screensaver? The purpose of a s c r e e n s a v e r is to prevent the text or graphic being displayed on the screen from "burning" into the monitor. If the same image stays on the screen for many hours or days, the screen will wear unevenly and eventually become damaged. Screensaver starts when you have not used the keyboard or mouse for a pre-determined length of time. Usually in Windows, a screensaver is also capable of locking the machine with password protection, so that you have to enter the password, before re- suming work. [Of course, it will not prevent somebody from switching the power off at the main switch and re-booting...] You may set the password, as well as other options, by going to in Windows 9x and NT/2000: My Computer - Control Panel - Display - Screen Savers - Settings in Windows 3.xx and WinOS2: "Main"group - Control Panel - Desktop - Screen Savers - Settings WINDOWS 3.xx NOTE: After installation, take a look at Control Panel - Desktop >> at Screen Saver-option there should be Vss2001a selected! If not, select it from List Box... for some reason, installation does not succeed to activate Vangora screensaver in any environments!!! --------------------------------------------------------------- 2. About Turkish Angora and Turkish Van Turkish cats, both Angora and Van, are very affectionate and sociable cats, who enjoy playing and investigation new things. They are also extremely intellegent cats, so they are aable to express their desires and hopes. When you have a Turkish Cat, you never get bored! Not only their temperament, but also their outlook is unique. The Turkish Angora is a balanced, graceful cat with a fine, silky coat that shimmers with every movement, in contrast to the firm, long muscular body beneath it. The Turkish Van can be distinquished of their "Marks of Allah", two coloured spots behind or between their ears and the same colour on their tail. On the rest of theirbody, Turkish Vans should be snow-white. The body structure of the Turkish Van is cobby. --------------------------------------------------------------- 3. What is Vangora? V a n g o r a = Finnish Turkish Angora and Turkish Van Cat Club The breed club for Turkish Cats was founded in 1989. By the end of that year, the club had 20 members. The club was first named "The Van Club", and it was originally intended to be a breed club for Turkish Van owners only, since at that moment there were no Turkish Angoras in Finland. Little by little, a few Turkish Angoras were also imported to Finland. As it felt natural for the owners of both Turkish breeds to have only one club representing the two breeds of similar geographical origin, the name of the club was changed to VANGORA Club. The aim of our club is to improve the knowledge of these two breeds and to maintain a systematical breeding program for the development of the Turkish breeds. The Club also wants to act as a connecting body among all people who are interested in Turkish Cats. Therefore we warmly welcome everyone, that either owns a Turkish Cat or is just interested in them, to join our club! You can join Vangora Club by paying the annual membership fee to account nr. 115330-202587, in MERITA-bank, addressed to "VANGORA ry, Helsinki".
