Welcome to the SIC@HOME webpage. New users might want to check out the "What is SIC@HOME" and then proceed to download the free client. If you've got any questions, suggestions or comments, don't hesitate to contact SIC@HOME. NEWS:
The first science newsletter is now online, SIC@home scientist Jan Knutar describes the progress and current findings of the project. PIC2WAV updated, fixed a small bug in the distribution that prevented the program to be started from the Icon. PIC2WAV V1.0.1.X is now available. The first tool for SIC@HOME is now available! Click here to get to the PIC2WAV page. PIC2WAV does the oposite of SIC@HOME, it converts pictures into sound! I finally found a few seconds of spare time and completed version 2.0 of SIC@HOME. Yes, that's right, 2.0 is finally here! New features: new graphics, autodetection of soundcard, increased security. Go to the download page now! My ISP has replaced all their web and emailservers so everything is working now. SIC@HOME has also received the first results, from Terry Lee, the author of SETIBuf. Terry tells me that he's planning on making SICBuf, so that users have something to worry about, as it is know, they have nothing to do. I don't know how he's gonna do that, otherwise that hacking my precious client, so SIC@HOME might have it's first hacker attack now... I will soon make a statistics page now that I've received results. I've added a counter to the page. A terrible java counter.. I said I wanted my own, but I changed my mind. Added 'Why SIC@HOME' and 'client status' pages. My ISP's webserver died shortly after I uploaded SIC@HOME. Probably due to the high load... Anyway, a new mirror has been added, here. Only j.k.@gotmail.com email will work. Normal operation will resume on Sunday. The webpages are ready and uploaded. SIC@HOME will be announced in alt.sci.seti soon. The free client is ready! SIC@HOME was born! Work began immediately on the webpages and the client. |
