General sites I enjoy

OMGemoBlog! It's my bloggity blog over at Xanga. What? Oh, right. Everyone uses Livejournal and ooga booga... Who cares. Anyway, I update it occasionally, aka. whenever I feel like bothering. Which is about, say, once a month. Or maybe twice.

My devArt page I think I will be updating this one most often. Elfwood is just fine, but the whole ticket system takes forever. And since I do all my HTML by hand I tend to leave updating my homepage late. You want the newest stories? Go there. (Also a controversial picture of me! Gasp!)

Elfwood Right, this is the huge place which stirs much controversy, but is nonetheless filled nearly to the brim with most awesomest art and stories practically possible. And there's some other stuff, which isn't so fancy, but can amuse one.

My Elfwood Library I'm an Elfwooder. Wyvernian writer, as a matter of fact. The stories I have there are the same as here, though, but they're commentable! You can leave an anonymous comment, if you find straight emailing too scary. (Ooo! A picture of me! Go go go go!)

Spiderweb Boards The forums I spent most of my time in. It's not all just about games, there are intense philosophical discusions about .. anything you can imagine! And simple topics for simple minded, which I like better being rather simplistic meself, that increase post by post and generate spam, which is surprisingly well tolerated. Back in the good old days it wasn't, but they're going all hippity woo and love all around baby 'round there.

Pomestye Bunnylinov Okay. This is... the site of my brother, who excels in everything and anything. Especially over me. Don't believe it? Good, he gets enough adulation as it is. From me. ^^;;
He has in the past dabbled in music making business (he's composed some very nice songlets), literary goodness (in the humour sense, which is the opposite of my productions) and coding and programming and that sort of whatnot which I understand not. He has also started making a comic! And it's fun! I shall probably be adding it to my comic links when he gets the interface in. Or probably sooner. Yay for Mimu! :)

NaNoWriMo Forums National Novel Writing Month and its supportive forums! Which are, actually, rather quiet and empty now considering it's not November. But in November they'll be buzzing again. Of course there's some people in there even now. Some folk get addicted. Kinda like me.

Games I enjoy to play (plus some help sites)

Kingdom of Loathing A humorous RPG. Free for all! It's easy to get into and if you have trouble understanding something then there's always the chat with loads of helpful people. You know what's my favourite thing about this game? Well, try it out and you can have your own favourite thing about it too!

KoLWiki Anything and everything about KoL. Tips, tricks and more trivia than you can handle. Highly handy.

KoL Spoilers Same thing, except the interface is not as fancy. And it was around first, anyway. + it has a few answers the Wiki doesn't have... *winks*

Hiidenportti "Hiidenportti -verkkopeli on myyttinen metsäseikkailu, jossa yli sata hahmoa touhuaa kymmenissä Hiisimetsän fantasiamaailmoissa. Pelin hahmot ja tarina ovat sekoitus faktaa ja fiktiota, yhdistelmä suomalaista metsätaloutta, kansanperinnettä ja sci-fiä."
One of my favourite games. I've had maybe around 7 accounts on this and when I've finished with my current I'll get a new. In Finnish and damn fun.

RuneScape A FIORPG, or MMORPG. That is, Forced Interaction or Massive Multiplayer (Online RolePlaying Game), however you wish to see it. The quests, leveling and adventuring I like. The other players I try to ignore. ^^ Anyway, it's a way to pass time and it does it have its fun points. Recommended.

RuneTips Fansite. Offers walkthroughs, tips, tricks (the usual whatnot) and guides for those who wish to understand more. Also, forums.

Rune Headquarters Same thing, but different people. The walkthroughs use more pictures, which can be better depending on what you need. Also, more guides.

AdventureQuest "AdventureQuest is a fully Flash-animated RPG that you can play when you are on your lunchbreak, when the big game servers go down, or even for hours every day."
It's fun, but I don't it play it often enough. It runs a bit too slowly on my computer, because it does its best to be fancy. Which it is, kind of. It's fun bashing.

Webcomics I enjoy (you know... these aren't even half of ALL that I read. I may have a problem)

Viivi ja Wagner Updates 5 (or six nowadays?) times a week. Finnish. It's about a woman and pig. One of the best Finnish comics in my opinion.

Dominic Deegan Updates every day! About a seer and his life and all their adventures! They've saved the world too. Once now, but I think it's 'and counting.' One of my favorites.

Girl Genius 101 (+ advanced) Updates thrice a week (the normal schedule), technically by two pages. There's one running comic, the 101 is the first parts, and Advanced jumps ahead. A gaslamp fantasy, mad scientists and a girl in glasses. (Also Jägers! *heart!*)

Scary Go Round Updates five days a week. It IS amusing to read with interesting events and characters. Don't listen to anyone grumbling, it's a fun comic. Start reading it already.

Something Positive Updates every now and then, which actually most often is.. well, often. Follows the life of a bunch of people. They're sarcastic! :)

PvP Updates every day, is a gaming comic, except the characters run a game magazine and there's less playing than in others. I think.

Sluggy Freelance Updates every day, follows the life of a bunch of people who get into all sorts of weird adventures. Fun!

Sinfest Supposedly updates every day, but lately there's been, shall we say... breaks. Also follows a bunch of people's lives, though in perhaps less extent than in pervious ones. Also features God, Satan, angels and an oriental dragon (who's also a god).

Bob and George THE sprite comic, updates every day. Goes about (sort of) the Megaman games which I've never played. :( But I've seen my brother play one or two! I only saw part though, not through the full game. :\

Misfile Updates 5 times a week, follows the lives of two girls. The other one used to be a guy and the other a year older, but there was a celestial misfiling accident.

El Goonish Shive Supposedly updates 3 times a week, but I'm a bit concerned. I rather like this comic, but the artist has been missing days a lot, only updating twice a week... Anyway, loads of fun! Shapechanging, ray guns, gender changing and squirrels and all that jazz.

Girly Updates three times a week. Follows the adventures and daily life of two girls. Also, they are lovers. And there's an oddly shaped cat with kittens, which are all very cute.

Penny and Aggie Updates thrice a week. Follows the lives of two girls and some other people. The two girls are not friends, but are still connected in strange ways.

Bruno the Bandit Updates thrice a week, also nowadays in color! A funny fantasy comic.

Kagerou Ah, Kagerou... Updates every now and then (perhaps once a week?) with usually two pages, sometimes three. The artist is VERY dedicated. (yay Luka!) Follows Kano's life as he (I think) tries to save some other world than his own. Also, a chick with big hairy ears. I also enjoy reading his thoughtful posts on his LJ, er, blog.

Sam and Fuzzy Updates thrice a week. Follows the life of this Sam guy and his... this weird bear Fuzzy. Also, ninjas. And off-screen violence. Well, threats of off-screen violence, I guess. Fun!

Namir Deiter Updates (supposedly) daily, but I notice sometimes a day is missed for some reason or another. Features the lives of a bunch of people, except they're animals. Very, very tastefully done I might add.

You Say It First Updates (apparently...) 5 times a week (supposedly only three times? Well, the more the better!). Drawn by same artists as above. ^ Follows of a couple and some of their family.

VG Cats A gaming comic, but two cartoony cats are the, hmm.. main characters. Sometimes I do not understand the joke, but that pretty much means it's about a game I haven't played or seen played at all. Oh, updates.. I think once a week.

Zap! Updates twice a week. Follows a group of people who are in the resistance against some bad people who rule the universe, or something. Anyway, they're evil and intolerant. Also, spacetravelling and robots and strange alien beings!

Ctrl-Alt-Del A gaming comic, which updates thrice a week. Follows the lives of some people (less than a bunch I'd say). Fun. :)

9th Elsewhere Updates, oh about, maybe once a week... Follows this girl who gets lost in her own mind and she has to get out by going deeper in. Also, she has two guys helping her and fighting over her. Not romantically. Yet.

Wish³ Follows the life of this guy who's been cursed with three wishes. He either dies or goes totally insane after the third wish. He tries to break the cycle, so that no more people would be cursed anymore. Although I'm sure the artist could've explained that a lot better and more deramatically than I could. PErhaps you shoudl go check it out. Updates once a week.

Errant Story Also maybe a couple of times a week. I'm not actually sure what the characters are trying to accomplish now. Not world-saving I'm sure.

Red String Updates thrice a week. Follows the lives of these people who are all in love with other people. Set in Japan, manga-style. Very nice! :)

white ninja updates now and then. white ninja does all these really strange things, which make sense if you don't really think about it.

Penny Arcade A gaming comic. Lives are not really being followed, but the two main characters belittle many games and game developers. Also, scetches of E3.

MegaTokyo Was once upon a time something like a gaming comic, is now more relationship based and prettier. Follows the lives of a bunch of people. Except one of them is a robot.

No Rest For The Wicked Updates once a week. Sort of based on fairy tales, except everything is related and much funnier. Follows three main characters as they try to, well, sort some things out once and for all.

Wapsi Square Updates five times a week. Follows the lives of a bunch of people. Also, three horrible beasts who are also pretty young girls. And a small blue godlet.

Gunnerkrigg Court Updates twice a week, follows the life of one main character (plus others) at this private school (/ a huge complex which stretches into the nether). Loads of fun! :)

Questionable Content Updates five times a week. Follows the lives of bunch of people. Apparently a favorite among comics? I enjoy reading it somewhat, but there are better ones.

Lint Updates a little sporadically. Follows the adventures of a group of people, including an elven prince, a half-elven rogue, a human empath, a midget dwarf and an intelligent half-ogre. Brilliant.

Hellbound Updates on thursdays. The comic page is longer than average though. Absolutely brilliant, and amusing. Follows the adventure of some people and demons. They're trying to gather the fabled pieces of a relic to gain their souls. Also, a crow.

Darken Updates a few times a week. Follows the adventures of a group of .. well, I suppose they are a bit anti-heroes. The disciple of Dark Lord Mephistopheles, on a quest from him to gain the possesion of some very powerful artifacts, and it seems that everyone else has their own agenda...

The Order of the Stick Follows the world-saving (and other) quest/adventures of a group of adventurers. Contains experience levels and an evil twin.

Other linkamajigs

FinnPlace Online English-Finnish-English dictionary, except it doesn't seem to work anymore... A bloody shame, it was really good. Might just be me, though.

Annabella's HTML Help This is where I learned my first HTML tricks. I can recommend. I still check occasionally if I need to refresh my memory about something. Well formatted.

Absynthe Muse It's a site for young writers. Their About Us page explains it all much better and has more space to use than I have. But if you care about writing at all, you should check it out.
Yeah, I guess it should've been higher, but... I'm a solitary person!

Zoomquilt A collaborative art project. Seriously extremely cool.

Web Sudoku Offers four different levels of sudoku for playing! My best Easy time is just under 5 minutes. :)

Evil Overlord List Should you ever decide to become an Evil Overlord, use the list and avoid losing to annoying heros. Amusing!

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (txt) As far Monty Python movies go, this is my favourite. Absolutely. Mwahaha! :D

Pyynö-jänis I don't think I can describe this. It's a demented comic about a crazy bunny named Pyynö. He does stuff.

RinkWorks "RinkWorks is an expansive collection of entertainment-related features." Such as games! I also like reading the Computer Stupidities page. Some people, huh?
